The Abilene High Eagles and Mansfield Timberview Wolves meet at 2 p.m. Saturday in a Class 5A Division II state quarterfinal at C.H. Collins Athletic Complex in Denton. This is Abilene High's third trip to the quarterfinals in the last five years, while Timberview is making its first quarterfinal appearance.
The Abilene High Eagles host the Mansfield Tigers in a Class 5A Division II regional playoff Saturday at Shotwell Stadium. The game is a rematch of a 2008 bidistrict matchup, in which Mansfield earned its first playoff victory in school history by knocking off the third-ranked Eagles.
